Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before placing an order. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About us

ClearSwitch Australia is operated by [Your Name] (ABN: 55 431 739 478). We supply PDLC smart film, switchable privacy film, and related electrical accessories to customers across Australia.

2. Orders and acceptance

2.1 Placing an order on our website constitutes an offer to purchase. Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email.

2.2 We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including where a product is out of stock, where pricing errors have occurred, or where we suspect fraudulent activity. If we cancel your order, we will provide a full refund.

2.3 For custom-cut orders, you are responsible for providing accurate measurements. We will cut film to the exact dimensions you specify. We cannot accept returns on custom-cut film that has been cut to your provided measurements unless the film is faulty.

3. Custom cut orders

3.1 All film orders are custom cut to your specified dimensions. Please measure carefully before ordering. We recommend measuring twice and leaving a 2mm gap on all edges of your glass.

3.2 Custom cut orders are non-refundable unless the product is faulty or not as described, in accordance with your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3.3 ClearSwitch is not responsible for incorrect measurements provided by the customer. If in doubt, contact us before ordering and we will assist you.

4. Pricing and GST

4.1 All prices displayed on our website are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.

4.2 We reserve the right to change our prices at any time without notice. The price applicable to your order is the price displayed at the time of placing your order.

4.3 ClearSwitch is registered for GST (ABN: 55 431 739 478). A tax invoice will be provided with your order confirmation.

5. Payment

5.1 We accept payment via credit/debit card (processed by Stripe), PayPal, Afterpay, and Zip.

5.2 Payment must be received in full before your order is processed and dispatched.

5.3 We use industry-standard encryption for all payment processing. We do not store your card details.

6. Shipping and delivery

6.1 We ship worldwide. Orders are fulfilled by our supplier and shipped directly to your nominated delivery address.

6.2 Estimated delivery times are 10–15 business days within Australia and 15–25 business days internationally for standard shipping. These are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Delays may occur due to customs processing, public holidays, or carrier delays outside our control.

6.3 Express shipping is available at additional cost — 5–10 business days within Australia and 7–14 business days internationally.

6.4 International shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination. Duties and import taxes for international orders are included in our pricing (DDP) — you will not be charged additional fees on delivery.

6.5 We do not ship to countries subject to Australian or international sanctions (including but not limited to North Korea, Iran, Syria, and certain regions of Russia and Belarus). We reserve the right to refuse any order to a sanctioned destination.

6.6 ClearSwitch is not responsible for delays caused by customs, natural disasters, or other circumstances beyond our control.

6.5 Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery to your nominated address.

7. Product use and installation

7.1 Our PDLC smart film is an electrical product. Installation instructions are provided with every order. Please read all instructions carefully before installation.

7.2 The film operates on low-voltage AC power via the included or separately purchased transformer. For hardwired wall switch installations, a licensed electrician must be engaged. ClearSwitch accepts no liability for any electrical work carried out by unlicensed persons.

7.3 The film is designed for indoor use on clean, flat glass surfaces only, unless otherwise specified. Do not install on curved glass, plastic, mirrors, or externally facing glass exposed to direct sunlight without first confirming suitability with us.

7.4 ClearSwitch accepts no liability for damage to glass, property, or persons arising from incorrect installation or misuse of the product.

8. Intellectual property

8.1 All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and product descriptions, is the property of ClearSwitch Australia or our suppliers and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or use any content without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClearSwitch's liability for any claim arising from these terms or your purchase is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant product.

9.2 Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded or limited.

10. Australian Consumer Law

10.1 Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our website after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
